pick-your-own

The orchards of Bonneville are located in a beautiful valley of the Condroz region, where we invite you to follow the seasons and to rediscover the intense pleasure of natural fruit. The self-picking system enables us to offer you the freshest fruit and flowers at an acceptable price for you as well as for us.

We produce all fruit that can be cultivated outdoors in our climate : small red fruit, rhubarb, grapes, kiwaï… as well as apples, pears and forgotten fruit as quince and medlar.

Our orchard is anything but monoculture : we never have the same tree more than twice.  Our fruit trees are mainly old varieties from the region, that have proven themselves well before the invention of pesticides or artificial fertilizers.

The trees in our mixed orchards are tall, hence they are naturally more resistant to drought than the smaller trees you see in intensive orchards : if the branches go 6m high, the roots will go approximately as deep where they will find water even during a heatwave.

How does it work ?

Very simple : you pick, we wage and you pay (cash or with payconiq).

Natural way

We are certified organic by Certisys but our approach goes much farther : we work together with nature and follow the indications it is giving us : the gardens are surrounded by indigenous hedges that attract birds, these eat the larvae of worms that could attack the fruit trees.

The chicken and sheep also help to control the insect population whilst fertilizing the ground naturally.

The aromatic herbs planted at the base of the trees deter ants and insect pests while flavouring your salad.  And should you find a worm in your apple : it is the ultimate proof that nature is in good shape here !
